Description
Mimosa texana (also called Mimosa-brava, Mimosa-preta, Mimosa-vermelha, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Fabaceae family. It is native to Central America and South America. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests, tropical and subtropical moist montane forests, and moist savanna.
