Description

Lupinus simulans (also called Simulating Lupine, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the legume family. It is native to the Mediterranean region and is found in rocky and sandy soils. It grows to a height of up to 1 m and has blue-violet flowers.

Cultivation and Propagation

Lupinus simulans can be propagated by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in early spring in a cold frame. When they are large enough to handle, prick the seedlings out into individual pots and plant them out in the summer. Cuttings of half-ripe wood, 5 - 8cm with a heel, July/August in a frame. Good percentage.
