Description

Lupinus diasemus (also called Two-Seeded Lupine, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to the southwestern United States and northern Mexico. It has a woody stem and grows up to 1 meter tall. Its leaves are palmately compound with 5-9 leaflets. It has blue-violet flowers that bloom in the spring. It grows in dry, rocky soils and is found in desert scrub and chaparral habitats.
