Description

Albizia ortegae (also called Ortega’s Albizia, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to South America. It has a rounded crown and grows up to 10 meters in height. Its leaves are alternate, pinnately compound, and up to 30 cm long. Its flowers are yellow and fragrant, and its fruits are pods containing several seeds. It grows in sunny, wet habitats, such as riverbanks and marshes.
