Description

Uses & Benefits
Acacia stricta is used for its timber, as a fuelwood, for fodder, and for its gum. It is also used in traditional medicine and as a source of tannin.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Flower: Creamy yellow spherical flower heads. Seed: Brown, flat, oblong seeds. Seedlings: Young seedlings have grey-green, bipinnate leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Acacia stricta is a fast-growing evergreen shrub that can be propagated from seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining soil mix and kept moist until germination. Cuttings should be taken from semi-hardwood stems and placed in a moist, well-draining soil mix. Both methods should be kept in a warm, sunny location until the plants are established.
