Description
Acalypha seminuda (also called Naked Acalypha, among many other common names) is a small, evergreen, perennial herb found in Central and South America. It has a single, heart-shaped leaf that grows up to 15 cm long and a single, small flower with a white or yellowish-green spathe. It is found in moist, shady habitats, such as rainforests and cloud forests.
Cultivation and Propagation
Acalypha seminuda can be propagated by seed, cuttings, or division. It can be grown in a pot or in the ground in a sunny or partially shaded area with well-draining soil. It should be kept moist but not wet. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer every few weeks during the growing season.
