Description

Vaccinium schlechterianum (also called Schlechter's Blueberry, Schlechter's Vaccinium, and Schlechter's Bilberry, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub native to western North America. It typically grows in acidic soils in bogs, heaths, and mountains. It has small, oval-shaped leaves and bell-shaped, white flowers. The edible blue-black berries are tart and acidic.
