Description
Sphyrospermum flaviflorum (also called Yellow-flowered Sphyrospermum, among many other common names) is a shrub that is native to the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador. It grows in humid montane forests at elevations of 2,000–3,000 m. It has leathery, oblong leaves and yellow flowers.

Sphyrospermum flaviflorum is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and parks. It is also used in traditional medicine for its anti-inflammatory and antifungal properties.
