Description

Rhododendron bellissimum (also called 'Mountain Rosebay', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Ericaceae family. It is native to the Himalayas, from Afghanistan to western China, and is found in temperate forests at elevations of 1,500–3,500 metres. It is a shrub or small tree growing to 4–8 m tall, with leathery, evergreen leaves 5–10 cm long and 2–3 cm broad.
