Cavendishia porphyrea (also called Porphyreous Cavendishia, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree with a rounded crown and a single trunk. It is native to the Andes Mountains of Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. It is found in humid montane forests, usually at elevations of 1,000–3,000 m.
