Description

Diospyros alpina (also called Alpine Ebony, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Ebenaceae. It is native to the Himalayas and can be found in alpine and subalpine forests. It is a small tree, reaching up to 5 meters in height, with a trunk diameter of up to 10 cm. Its bark is rough and grey, and its leaves are oblong and dark green.
