Dennstaedtia distenta (also called Distended Dennstaedtia, among many other common names) is a fern species of the family Dennstaedtiaceae. It is a terrestrial species with a creeping rhizome and fronds that are up to 40 cm long. It is native to tropical regions of Central and South America, and is found in humid lowland forests.
