Description
Eleocharis pachystyla (also called Thick-stemmed Spikerush, Thick-stemmed Hair-grass, and Thick-stemmed Water-grass, among many other common names) is a grass-like plant with thin, cylindrical stems and small, egg-shaped spikelets. It is native to North America, and is found in moist, wetland habitats such as marshes, swamps, and wet meadows.

Eleocharis pachystyla has small, white flowers that are arranged in a spike-like inflorescence. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings are slender and have long, narrow leaves.
