Description
Eleocharis nana (also called dwarf spikerush, among many other common names) is a perennial grass-like plant that grows up to 30 cm (12 in) in height. It is native to North America, Europe, and Asia and is found in wet meadows, marshes, and shallow waters. It has narrow, linear leaves and small, spike-like flowers.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Eleocharis nana has small, yellow flowers that are clustered in racemes. The seeds are small, black and round, and the seedlings are small and have a reddish-brown color.

Eleocharis nana is a perennial species of sedge native to China and Japan. It can be propagated by division or by seed. It prefers moist soils and can tolerate partial shade. It is best grown in a sunny spot in moist, well-drained soil.
