Description
Eleocharis calva (also called Smooth Spikerush, among many other common names) is an aquatic plant native to tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. It is found in shallow water, marshes, and wet soil, and grows to a height of up to 40 cm.

Eleocharis calva is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and is also used in aquariums as a substrate for aquatic plants.
