Description
Echeveria fimbriata (also called Fringed Echeveria, among many other common names) is a succulent plant with rosettes of fleshy, pointed, green leaves with pink-red edges. It is native to Mexico and Guatemala and is typically found in rocky, dry areas.
Uses & Benefits
Echeveria fimbriata is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a houseplant. It is also used to make herbal teas and medicines.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Echeveria fimbriata has yellow or pink flowers that are bell-shaped. The seeds are small and black, and the seedlings are small and green.
Cultivation and Propagation
Echeveria fimbriata can be propagated from leaf cuttings. To propagate, take a leaf from the plant and allow it to dry for a few days. Once the leaf has dried, place it on top of a potting mix and lightly press it into the soil. Water the soil and keep it moist until the leaf has rooted. Once the leaf has rooted, it can be transplanted into a larger pot.
