Description
Alangium warburgianum (also called Warburg's Alangium, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Alangiaceae. It is a shrub or small tree, growing up to 10 m tall. It is native to India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, and southern China. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist lowland forests.
Cultivation and Propagation
Alangium warburgianum is an evergreen shrub that grows in full sun to partial shade. It can be propagated from seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring or autumn in a well-drained soil. Cuttings should be taken in late summer or early autumn and rooted in a well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate some frost.
