Clusia blattophila (also called 'cockroach-loving Clusia', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the family Clusiaceae. It is native to South America, where it is found in Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay, and Uruguay. It is a shrub, growing in open woodlands and scrubland.

Cultivation and Propagation

Clusia blattophila is a succulent that grows in full sun to partial shade in dry, well-drained soils. Propagation is done by seed or cuttings. Seeds should be sown in spring in a seed tray and covered lightly with soil. When the seedlings are large enough to handle, they can be transplanted into individual pots and grown on in a greenhouse or cold frame until they are large enough to plant out in their permanent positions.
