Description
Parnassia fimbriata (also called fringed grass-of-Parnassus, among many other common names) is a perennial herbaceous plant native to western North America. It has white, star-shaped flowers and deeply lobed leaves. It grows in open woodlands, meadows, and along streams in California, Oregon, and Washington.

The flower of Parnassia fimbriata is a small, white bloom with five petals. The seed is a small, black nutlet. The seedlings are small and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Parnassia fimbriata is a deciduous shrub that can be propagated through softwood cuttings in the summer or hardwood cuttings in the winter. It prefers full sun or partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant once established.
