Description
Silene persica (also called 'Persian Catchfly', among many other common names) is an annual herb native to Iran and Turkey. It has small, ovate leaves and grows to a height of about 30 cm. It grows in dry, sunny areas, in meadows, and in rocky areas.

Silene persica has white flowers with yellow anthers. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have small, oval leaves.

Silene persica is native to Iran. It can be found in temperate moist lowland forests, temperate moist montane forests, and moist shrublands.
