Silene himalayensis (also called Himalayan Catchfly, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the Himalayas. It has a thick stem and small, pink flowers. It grows in moist, grassy habitats.

The flower of Silene himalayensis is a small, pink, five-petaled flower with yellow anthers. The seed is a small, black, round seed. The seedlings are small, green, and have a single, oval-shaped leaf.
Cultivation and Propagation
Silene himalayensis can be propagated by seed or division. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. It is drought tolerant and can tolerate temperatures down to -30°F (-34°C).
