Vasconcellea microcarpa (also called Small-fruited Papaya, among many other common names) is a shrub or small tree native to tropical and subtropical regions of the world. It has a spreading habit and grows up to 5 m in height. Its leaves are ovate, with a serrated margin, and its flowers are yellow. It is found in dry habitats, such as scrublands and savannas.
