Parodia commutans (also called Notocactus commutans, among many other common names) is a species of cactus native to Argentina, Uruguay, and Brazil. It has a globose body, up to 5 inches (12 cm) in diameter, with 12 to 14 ribs, and yellowish-brown spines. It grows in rocky hills and grasslands.
