Description
Echinocereus stramineus (also called Straw-colored hedgehog cactus, among many other common names) is a species of cactus in the Cactaceae family. It is native to Mexico and grows in rocky, desert-like habitats. It is a globular cactus with a diameter of up to 10 cm and has yellowish-brown spines.

Cultivation and Propagation
Echinocereus stramineus is a slow-growing, long-lived cactus that can be propagated from seeds or stem cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining cactus mix and kept in a warm, bright spot. Stem cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature plants and allowed to dry for a few days before planting in a well-draining cactus mix. Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry completely between waterings.
