Cultivation and Propagation
Echinocereus scopulorum is a slow-growing, long-lived cactus that can be propagated from seeds or stem cuttings. Seeds should be sown in a well-draining cactus mix and kept in a warm, bright spot. Stem cuttings should be taken from healthy, mature plants and allowed to dry for a few days before planting in a well-draining cactus mix. Water sparingly and allow the soil to dry completely between waterings.
