Description

Echinocereus coccineus (also called Scarlet Hedgehog Cactus, among many other common names) is a cactus species native to the Chihuahuan Desert in Mexico. It is a small, globose cactus with spines that can reach up to 4 cm in length. It grows in rocky, arid habitats.
