Commiphora elliptica (also called Balsamodendron ellipticum, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Burseraceae family. It is a small shrub with a single stem, growing up to 2 m tall. It is native to Madagascar and is found in dry deciduous forests, spiny bush and coastal scrub.
