Cultivation and Propagation
Bryum obscurum is a small, tuft-forming moss that grows in damp, shady places. It is easily propagated by division of the tufts or by spores. The spores should be sown on a peat-based compost and kept moist and shaded until germination occurs. The young plants should be transplanted into a moist, shady location.
