Description
Anomobryum lusitanicum (also called Lusitanian moss, among many other common names) is a species of moss in the family Anomobryaceae. It is a small, tufted moss with stems up to 5 cm long. It has a cosmopolitan distribution, occurring in Europe, Asia, North and South America, Africa, and Australia. It is found in a variety of habitats, including grasslands, open woodlands, and disturbed areas.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Anomobryum lusitanicum has small, yellow-green flowers that are arranged in a spike-like inflorescence. The seeds are small, black and glossy and the seedlings are small, with a single leaf that is divided into two lobes.
