Description

Racinaea spiculosa (also called Spiny-Spored Racinaea, among many other common names) is a terrestrial bromeliad native to the Andes of Colombia and Ecuador. It grows up to 1 m tall and has white, tubular flowers. It is found in tropical montane forests.

Racinaea spiculosa is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a ground cover. It is drought tolerant and can be used to stabilize slopes and reduce erosion. It is also used for revegetation projects.
