Navia piresii (also called Pires' Navia, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree with a conical or columnar shape and leathery, dark green leaves. It is native to the Caribbean islands of Trinidad and Tobago and is found in humid and wet forests. It prefers moist, well-drained soils and can tolerate some shade.
