Description

Cottendorfia florida (also called Florida Cottendorfia, among many other common names) is a perennial herb that is native to Central and South America. It grows in wet, tropical habitats such as rainforests and cloud forests. It has a basal rosette of leaves and a tall stem with spirally arranged leaves. The flowers are yellow or orange, and the fruits are capsules.
