Aethionema heterocarpum (also called Heterocarpous Aethionema, among many other common names) is an evergreen shrub or small tree with a rounded crown and a trunk up to 6 m tall. It is native to the southwestern United States, where it is found in Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas. It grows in dry, rocky soils in canyons and on hillsides.
