Brachythecium albicans (also called Brachythecium alboflavens, among many other common names) is a species of moss found in North America, Europe, and Asia. It is a small, tufted moss with short, erect stems. Its leaves are ovate-lanceolate in shape, with a pointed tip and a serrated margin. It prefers moist, shady habitats, such as forests and woodlands.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
The flowers of Brachythecium albicans are white, with five petals. The seeds are small and black. The seedlings are small, with light green leaves.
