Description
Brachytheciastrum fendleri (also called Fendler's Brachythecium, among many other common names) is a species of moss in the family Brachytheciaceae. It is found in the Northern Hemisphere, in Europe, Asia, and North America. It grows in moist, shady places, such as in woods, on rocks, and in grassy meadows.

The flower of Brachytheciastrum fendleri is a small, inconspicuous, yellowish-green, bell-shaped flower. The seed is a small, dark brown, round seed. The seedlings are small, green, and have a single, long, thin stem.
Cultivation and Propagation
Brachytheciastrum fendleri can be propagated by spores or by division of the rhizome. Cultivation is best done in moist, acidic soils with plenty of organic matter. It prefers partial shade and can tolerate full sun.
