Asterella africana (also called African Asterella, among many other common names) is a species of liverwort in the family Asterellaceae. It is a small, yellow-green, leafy plant with a thalloid form. It is native to tropical South America and is found in humid montane forests. It grows on moist soil, rocks, and tree trunks.
