Uses & Benefits
Diplazium tetsu-yamanakae is used as an ornamental plant in gardens and as a houseplant. It is also used as a ground cover in shady areas.
Flower, Seeds and Seedlings
Diplazium tetsu-yamanakae has small, yellow-green flowers that are clustered in a spike. Its seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have two or three long, thin leaves that are light green in color.
Cultivation and Propagation
Diplazium tetsu-yamanakae can be propagated by division or by spores. It prefers moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. It is best grown in humus-rich, acidic soil in a sheltered position in dappled shade.
