Description
Hieracium volmanni (also called Volman's Hawkweed, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. It is native to Europe, and is found in dry, open habitats. It is a perennial herb with a woody base, growing to a height of 0.3–0.5 m (1 ft–1 ft 8 in). The leaves are alternate, simple, and lanceolate. The flower heads are 0.5–1 cm (0.20–0.39 in) in diameter, and are surrounded by spiny bracts.
