Gyptis lanigera (also called Wooly Gyptis, among many other common names) is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean region and North Africa. It has a deep taproot and grows up to 60 cm tall. It is found in dry grasslands, rocky slopes, and disturbed habitats.
