Description
Espeletiopsis funckii (also called Funck's Groundsel, among many other common names) is an annual herbaceous plant native to the Andes mountains of South America. It has a basal rosette of leaves and yellow flowers that bloom in the summer. It grows in grasslands and open woodlands.

Espeletiopsis funckii has yellow flowers with five petals and a center of yellow stamens. Its seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have two oval-shaped leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Espeletiopsis funckii can be propagated by seed or division. Seeds should be sown in spring in a cold frame and the seedlings transplanted into individual pots when they are large enough to handle. Division can be done in spring or autumn. Larger clumps can be divided using two forks to tease out the smaller divisions.
