Cultivation and Propagation

Centaurea ceratophylla is a perennial plant that can be propagated by division or seed. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil. To propagate by division, divide the plant in the spring or fall and replant the divisions in their permanent location. To propagate by seed, sow the seeds in a cold frame in the spring and cover lightly with soil. Keep the soil moist and the seeds should germinate within a few weeks. Transplant the seedlings to their permanent location in the garden when they are large enough to handle.
