Description
Aster sinianus (also called Chinese Aster, among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the daisy family Asteraceae. It is native to China, and is found in moist, open habitats. It is an annual herb, growing to a height of 0.3–0.5 m (1 ft–1 ft 8 in). The leaves are alternate, simple, and lanceolate. The flower heads are 0.5–1 cm (0.20–0.39 in) in diameter, and are surrounded by spiny bracts.

Aster sinianus is a perennial plant that can be grown from seed or cuttings. For seed propagation, sow the seeds in a well-drained soil in spring or early summer.
