Description
Agave tequilana (also called 'Blue agave', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to Mexico and is found in the states of Jalisco, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. It typically grows in dry, rocky hillsides and canyons.
