Description
Agave sobolifera (also called 'Maguey de Sobol', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to Mexico and is found in the states of Durango, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz. It typically grows in dry, rocky hillsides and canyons.
Uses & Benefits
Agave sobolifera is used for its fibers to make rope, paper, and other crafts. Its sap can be used to make a sweet syrup, and its leaves can be used for roofing material. It is also used as an ornamental plant in gardens.
