Description
Agave producta (also called 'Maguey de Producto', among many other common names) is a species of flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family. It is native to Mexico and is found in the states of Durango, Hidalgo, Jalisco, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Puebla and Veracruz. It typically grows in dry, rocky hillsides and canyons.

Agave producta is used as a sweetener, for medicinal purposes, and as a source of fiber for making paper and rope.
