Syagrus mirandana (also called Miranda's Syagrus Palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to South America. It is a tall, slender palm with a single trunk and a crown of pinnate leaves. It is found in tropical and subtropical moist forests and scrublands.

Uses & Benefits

Syagrus mirandana is used for medicinal purposes, as well as for weaving baskets and mats. Its leaves are also used as a source of food for livestock.
