Description
Pinanga glauca (also called Glaucous Fan Palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm native to Southeast Asia. It has a single, slender trunk and a crown of long, narrow, fan-shaped leaves. The flowers are small and yellowish-green, and are followed by small, round, black fruits. It grows in lowland rainforests and along riverbanks.

Pinanga glauca has small, yellow-green flowers with three petals. The seeds are small, black and round. The seedlings have a single, short stem with two to three leaves.
Cultivation and Propagation
Pinanga glauca is best grown in a moist, well-drained soil in partial shade. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils, from sandy to clay, and can tolerate some drought. It is also tolerant of salt spray. Propagation is by division or by seed.
