Description
Lanonia calciphila (also called Calciphila Lanonia, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to the island of Borneo. It is a small to medium-sized palm, growing up to 6 m tall, with a single trunk and a crown of fan-shaped leaves. It grows in lowland rainforest and swamp forest habitats.
Uses & Benefits
Lanonia calciphila is used as a source of wood for furniture and other wood products, as well as for fuel and construction materials. It is also used in traditional medicine and as an ornamental plant.
