Description

Coccothrinax nipensis (also called Nip Palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to the Caribbean islands. It is a small palm tree that grows up to 5 meters in height and has a trunk that is covered with a thick layer of fibers. Its leaves are fan-shaped and can reach up to 1.5 meters in length. It is found in dry, sandy soils and is tolerant of drought and heat.
