Description

Ceroxylon quindiuense (also called Quindío wax palm, among many other common names) is a species of palm tree native to Colombia. It is a large, solitary palm tree with a single trunk that can reach up to 30 m in height. Its leaves are pinnate and can reach up to 4 m in length. It prefers tropical climates and is found in humid mountain forests, at altitudes between 1,000 and 3,000 m.
